5 Week Antenatal Programme - From Pregnancy to Postpartum.

For Babies Due Late August – Early November

Join us for this warm and welcoming 5-week antenatal course — a supportive space to fully prepare for birth and the early postnatal days with your baby. Meet other mums and dads on the same journey, at the same stages of pregnancy.

With a unique blend of expert guidance, practical tools and real-life midwifery insight, you’ll build the knowledge and understanding to approach birth and postpartum feeling prepared, confident and excited. More than just a traditional class, this is a thoughtfully designed course you can truly trust. Run in small groups in a beautiful Exmouth setting, you’ll be gently guided through everything from late pregnancy and hypnobirthing to birth and caring for your newborn.

For parents seeking a calm, positive approach to birth preparation, supported by expert guidance throughout.

This course is ideally suited for those between 24–31 weeks pregnant at the start of the course

What will you learn?

That birth doesn’t have to be something to fear. With the right understanding, knowledge and support, you’ll feel calmer, more in control and able to approach birth with confidence and positivity. Let’s change the way we think about birth.

Your body is phenomenal. It is already doing something so incredible by growing and nurturing your baby. This course will help empower you to build belief in yourself and discover your inner strength and resilience. I’m so excited for you to learn the power of the human body.

That there isn’t just one “right” way to give birth. You’ll explore all pathways — helping you feel informed, prepared and confident, whatever your journey looks like.

The world of modern maternity care. We’ll explore how maternity care has evolved, helping you understand today’s system, the language used and the choices available — from pain relief to induction and caesarean birth. We’ll break down the jargon so you feel informed, in control and confident in your decisions.

Your birth partner plays a truly meaningful role. They’ll learn how to support you in a way that feels natural, reassuring and deeply connected.

Rest, recovery and support matter just as much as birth itself. Why is rest so important for recovery and how can you create a positive early postnatal experience? With a focus on postnatal wellbeing, you’ll be gently guided through how to care for yourself after birth, with thoughtful support around postnatal planning, emotional wellbeing and adjusting to life with your baby — the Coastal Birth Club way.

Caring for your newborn. Feeding, changing, winding, safe sleep and nurturing your baby’s development — it can feel like a lot, can’t it? We’ll gently guide you through those first moments and the early days, helping you understand what your baby needs and how to care for them with confidence, not overwhelm. You’ll leave feeling prepared, reassured and ready — you’ve got this, and we’ve got you.
