The Coastal Birth Club is an independent antenatal education and complementary therapy service based in Devon, United Kingdom. It operates independently and is not an NHS service. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with our Website Terms and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions or our Privacy Policy, please do not use this website or proceed with a booking.
Nature of Services and Professional Status
The Coastal Birth Club provides antenatal education courses, pregnancy and postnatal workshops and complementary therapies (where applicable). All services are educational and supportive in nature. They are not intended to replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. You should always seek advice from your GP, obstetrician or NHS midwife regarding your individual medical circumstances and healthcare decisions. Participation in any class, workshop, or therapy session is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion.
Although services may be delivered by a Nursing and Midwifery Council registered midwife, The Coastal Birth Club operates independently from any NHS employment. Attendance at classes or therapies does not create a clinical midwife-patient relationship. We are unable to provide personalised medical advice relating to your individual pregnancy, birth, or baby. Any specific health concerns must be directed to your GP, obstetrician, midwife, or other healthcare professional responsible for your care. You acknowledge that decisions regarding your pregnancy, birth, and parenting remain your responsibility. The Coastal Birth Club accepts no liability for outcomes arising from decisions made based on course information or materials.
Unless otherwise stated, the fee for an in-person antenatal course includes attendance for the pregnant participant and one birth partner. For insurance and safeguarding purposes, all attendees must be registered at the time of booking. Unregistered individuals may not be admitted to attend the class at our discretion.
We use third-party venues to host in-person sessions. We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, facilities, or services provided by those venues. We reserve the right to change venue before or during a course where necessary. Written notice of any venue change will be provided by email.
Booking and Payments
All bookings must be made via our website and full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. All prices are listed in GBP (£). VAT will be included where applicable. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a booking confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline or refuse a booking at our discretion or cancel a booking in the event of payment failure, payment reversal, or suspected fraudulent activity.

Between 14 days and 6 weeks before the start date: 50% refund

Bereavement related to your pregnancy
Baby born prematurely (before 37 weeks of pregnancy), prior to the course commencement, where the course was booked within the recommended timeframe (commencing before 31 weeks of pregnancy)

One class attended – 50% refund (minus £25 administration fee)
Two classes attended – 25% refund (minus £25 administration fee)
Three or more classes attended – No refund
Refund requests must be submitted in writing within three months of the course commencement date. We reserve the right to request supporting documentation when assessing claims under this section. Our decision regarding eligibility for a refund is final.
National Emergencies and Events Outside Our Control
If a course is scheduled during circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, public health emergencies, government restrictions, or venue closure, refunds will not be provided where a suitable alternative is offered.
We reserve the right to:
