Thoughtful, up to date and full of warmth, this workshop is designed to help you embrace grandparenthood with wisdom, confidence and a modern perspective.

The Grandparent Workshop + First Aid

This 4 hour workshop is designed for grandparents and carers, offering evidence based guidance surrounding newborn babies and a nice update on what maternity care looks like today, from a practicing midwife. This workshop will focus on preparing you for the new grandchild — from birth, feeding and safe sleep advice to a practical realities of everyday newborn care.

For many grandparents, it can feel surprising just how much has changed. “Why are so many women having caesareans”, “are they spoiling the baby?” and “where have cot bumpers and talcum powder gone?”

Questions around sleep, feeding, soothing and baby care often look very different now to how they once did. This warm, supportive refresher workshop is designed to gently guide you through what’s new, what’s changed and how to step into this role feeling confident, ‘in the know’, supportive and well prepared.

  • 2-hour Baby & Child First Aid
    Covering CPR, Choking, Bumps, Burns, Breaks, Bleeding, Febrile Seizures and Meningitis & Sepsis Awareness

Led by a qualified, practising Midwife and Mini First Aid trainer — so you can feel confident knowing you’re receiving the most expert advice
