What is Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a powerful, evidence-based approach to birth preparation that combines breathing techniques, deep relaxation and mindset work to support a calmer, more positive birth experience. It is a set of practical tools and techniques that help you feel more in control, more informed and more confident about pregnancy and birth.

It’s not about “hypnosis” in the traditional sense — you are always in control. Instead, hypnobirthing helps you understand how your body works in labour and teaches you how to reduce fear, release tension and work with your body, rather than against it.

When you feel calm and safe, your body produces the hormones needed for labour to progress more effectively. Hypnobirthing draws on both evidence-based practice and instinctive birth physiology, helping you reconnect with your body’s natural ability to give birth.

Whether you are planning a vaginal birth or a caesarean birth, the techniques you learn in our classes can help you feel calmer, more prepared and more in control of your experience, whatever path your birth takes.

Bringing everything you need for birth preparation together in one place

When you understand how your body works, how your baby moves down and how you can stay calm and relaxed throughout that, everything starts to make more sense. This specialist course aims to empower you to have a calmer, more controlled birth experience. Reducing fear, anxiety and aiding deep relaxation and trust in your body.
